March 28, 2011
Dear Ira and Syracuse Alumni,
On behalf of the staff and clients of Deirdre's House I would like to thank you and your team for the work you did on Syracuse University’s National Orange Day on Saturday, March 26, 2011. It is so important for our Center to be a safe and comfortable place for children who have suffered abuse and the upkeep and presentation of the building is paramount to achieving this goal. While it may seem like a small thing, the organizing and cleaning truly helps to make the children who visit our facility feel safe and hopeful. It is apparent in their faces. Know that the time you gave really did make a difference!
In addition, your generous donations were also much appreciated. During these difficult times, it is always especially heartwarming to see such consideration for others, especially when so many people are facing their own struggles. Your group’s care and enthusiasm made the day a great success for us and will be felt by our clients well into the future.
As a non profit organization, we rely on the support of the community to continue to provide vital services to children in need. We are grateful to know that we have your support. We enjoyed working with you on this project and look forward to more opportunities to join forces and help those in need.
Thank you once again for all your hard work and generosity!
Very truly yours,
Judy Rawla
Director of Programs
